Congratulations to Marwa Rasheed, our second Senior '25 student to receive an early acceptance this year to the Bachelor's program in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Memphis in Tennessee.
Marwa has been part of the Washburn community since 4th grade and has consistently shown exceptional leadership and academic excellence. She has served as both President and Vice President of the National Honor Society Eagles Chapter and earned the Dr. Lopezcepero Leadership Award for maintaining the highest GPA in the school, along with High Honors throughout her academic journey. Since 9th grade, she has been recognized with the Board of Directors Award for her dedication and contributions to our school community.
We are excited to see this as just the beginning of many more university acceptances to come in her bright future!
Marwa joins fellow senior Alejandro Negrón Calderón, who was the first of the Class of 2025 to receive an early acceptance for a Bachelor's in Astronomy and Astrophysics at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, home to the 4th best astronomy program in the nation according to US News!
