Biography
Melvin Rodríguez-Rodríguez (1989) is a teacher, writer and illustrator from Salinas, Puerto Rico. He studied a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism, with a minor concentration in Theater, at Universidad del Sagrado Corazón in San Juan, Puerto Rico; a semester of humanities at Fundación Ortega-Marañón in Toledo, Spain; and is currently finishing a Master's Degree in Puerto Rican Studies, at Centro de Estudios Avanzados de Puerto Rico y el Caribe, in San Juan, Puerto Rico. In 2012, he published his book of short stories En las montañas in 2012, and he coedited and illustrated No cierres los ojos, Puerto Rico's first horror anthology. Presently he co-presides Eikon, an independent book label. In his spare time, he enjoys drawing, cooking, researching history and reading horror and fantasy books.
