Mrs. Arroyo Bio
Sandra Arroyo Borgos was born and raised in Waukegan, Illinois. Sandra has a bachelor’s degree in secondary education with a concentration in English from the InterAmerican University of Puerto Rico, Ponce Campus. She has been teaching children of all ages for the past 15 years. Mrs. Arroyo has been teaching at Washburn School for 11 years!
Mrs. Arroyo has also taught Conversational English at Washburn’s English Institute to adults and teens over the past decade. She is an afternoon tutor for students who need help with homework or any other school task. She is also a Professor at the Pontifical Catholic University, Ponce Campus, where she teaches Conversational English and offers workshops to students who are struggling with the language. Sandra is the coordinator of the National Honor Society and is an active member of Puerto Rico TESOL.
In addition, she enjoys preparing and coordinating school activities such as clubs, graduations, talent shows, ceremonies (Honor Society, Student of the Month, Achievement Day), English Week, school fairs, and other extracurricular activities. Her priority is to help children succeed and have fun while they learn.
